He was born in 1972 in Paris. In 1992, he graduated from Galatasaray High School.

He graduated with a degree in Economics and Finance from Sorbonne University in France. He completed his Master's degree in Banking and Finance, also at Sorbonne University (he was one of the 25 selected out of 3000 applicants).

In 1997, after a short experience at Credit Lyonnais Treasury Department and Paris Stock Exchange in Paris, he started to work at Alfa Securities Treasury Department in Turkey in 1998.

In 2000, he worked as an Equity Market Trader at Broadway Trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange in the USA (he was selected among 2000 people for this position).

In 2002, he served as Head of US Markets at Paris Refco and in 2004 he joined Akbank Private Banking as Investment Manager responsible for Overseas Markets and Equity Markets. Between December 2005 and August 2011, he worked as Private Banking Manager at Finansbank.

Between 2011 and 2015, he was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Notus Asset Management. His company was sold to Azimut Group, the largest independent portfolio company in Italy.

In 2006, he received an award at the Private Banking Conference in Dubai, sponsored by LM Investment Management and attended by 100 bankers from around the world.

In 2008, he was the first speaker ever invited from Turkey to speak at the European Private Banking Conference. He was also the moderator and session chairman of the conference.

In 2019, he was invited as the first speaker from Turkey at the annual finance conference held at Yale University in the USA.

Between 2008 and 2014, he was a lecturer at Galatasaray University. Since 2016, he has been a lecturer at Bilgi University.

In 2011, he was selected as an Instructor for the Banks Association of Turkey.

Since 2005, he has been commenting on the economy and markets on all television economy channels. Between 2011 and 2016, he was the permanent commentator of Bloomberg HT.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of Galatasaray Pazarlama AŞ. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Galatatasaray TV Publishing. He is a member of Galatasaray Club and Galatasaray High School Alumni Association.

He is the Economic Advisor of the Turkish Young Businessmen Association (TÜGİAD).

He is a member of the Young Executives Businessmen Association (GYIAD).

Member of the Association of Investment Professionals (CFA).

Member of the Board of Directors of FODER (Financial Literacy and Access Association)

Chairman of Investimate Jury, Turkey's largest virtual asset management competition.

He holds CMB Advanced Level, CMB Derivatives, ISE Bonds and Bills, CMB Corporate Rating, US Series 7, Series 63 and Series 55 licenses.

He was named the Best Economist of 2017 and 2018 by Ege University and Ekonomize magazine.
