Speaker Profile
After graduating from Middle East Technical University in 1984 he started working at BRISA, a subsidiary firm of Sabancı Holding.
In 1986 he moved to ARGESA as Management Services Section Manager. He worked on project feasibilities, management information systems besides recruitment of the personnel, job descriptions and salary management.
Later, he worked at BEKSA as Personnel Manager and was responsible from various personnel functions.
He started working at TETRAPAK, Turkey as Human Resources Director. He worked there for 8 years. He made various studies on industrial relations, salary and wage management, recruitment, management development, training and he developed several systems. He left Tetrapak in 1997 to start working as management consultant for Praendex Europe.
As creativity is his personal interest, he has participated in many seminars and been certified to deliver courses on “Lateral Thinking” and “Six Hats” of Edward de Bono in Turkey.
He has also taken a part in a project group studying learning organizations at Vanderbilt University between 1995-96 and also managed a pilot study in Tetrapak Turkey.
Among others, Kocabaş ran several courses on management at Management Center Europe until 1997. Since 1997, he has been delivering courses on management and working as an independent management consultant to major corporations in Turkey.
