Duygu Demirdag is a graduate of Uludag University (Bursa, Turkey) where she studied English Language Teaching. She did her post graduate studies in Middlesex University, UK on Media and Communication Management. She also did studies at Universidad de Salamanca in Spain about “Economics and Politics of the European Union” and about “Latin American and Spanish Cinema”.
Duygu began her career in television at Line TV as a producer and news anchor. She was the anchor and editor of the night bulletin called “Bu Gece”. She produced and presented the arts and culture programme named after the legendary film by Tornatore, ‘Stanno Tutti Bene’ (Everybody’s Fine). Duygu joined CNN TÜRK in 2010 and followed news around the globe and in Turkey as a reporter. She made documentaries and news cases about social and economic issues. She brought her experience in the field into the studio and worked as an anchor and news editor in CNN Türk Prime Time News. She also worked for Olay TV where she presented several news programmes.
Duygu Demirdag is the author of several biographies and she consulted in several autobiographies.
She provided help for a number of digital projects in terms of content, production and presenting.
She produced and presented the programme “Doğrusunu İstersen” with Doğruluk Payı initiative and worked for DW Turkish where she collected news and produced the programme “Semt Bizim”.
Her YouTube broadcast "Bir Ülke Bir Kent" was a programme where she interviewed political leaders live. Working with the Turkish Women’s Associations, she made documentaries about the status of women in politics and in public space.
Duygu is an instructor in Uluslararası Gazetecilik Federasyonu (International Journalism Federation) and gives lectures to young journalists about digital media, data security and social media management. She prepared modules on news telling, communication management and building your own news headquarters for universities and NGOs.
