Speaker Profile

Dr. Gulfem Saydan Sanver, who was elected as the President of the European Association of Political Consultants in May 2022 in Vienna, completed her high school education at Fevziye Mektepleri Vakfı Private Işık High School and studied at Marmara University, majoring in Political Science and Public Administration with a focus on French.

Having served as an Assistant Manager in the Risk Management Department at Citibank N.A for 4 years, Gulfem Saydan Sanver pursued her master's and doctoral studies in Paris. She completed her Master's and Ph.D. degrees on "Political Communication" at Sorbonne University. Her doctoral thesis on comparative election campaigns received a high honor award with unanimous approval from the jury.

In 2013, her research on "Election Campaigns and Comparative Election Strategies of Political Parties in Turkey" was published by A.N.R.T Publishing House. Her second book, "Interpreting Communities," focusing on the impact of cultural class differences on perception, was also published in France in 2014.

On November 12, 2013, Sanver was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC), becoming the youngest member of the board. She continued her membership until 2017.

In 2015, she organized an international conference on the application of political election campaigns to the marketing field in Turkey. Sanver brought Barack Obama's winning campaign team from 2012 to Istanbul, becoming the first person to organize an international conference in this field.

She received the Pollie Award, considered the Oscars of political communication in the United States, from the American Association of Political Consultants. She won the award in the International Category for Best Written Material in 2015 and in the Most Innovative Material category in 2019. In 2017, she was recognized as one of the World's Top 100 Strategists by ComPol magazine based in Washington. In 2017, she was honored with the 2017 Polaris Award by the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC).

Since 2022, Sanver has been serving as the President of the European Association of Political Consultants. She continues to provide communication consultancy services at Element Strategy Management and Consultancy company, analyze the Turkish agenda as a political analyst on various national TV channels, and write columns for various digital newspapers.
